John Glodek is a middle school physical education teacher that has a deep rooted passion for cycling. It has been a catalyst throughout his life and drove him to advocate for his middle school to get the Outride's Riding For Focus school-based program which opens the paths for new adventures for student's right in their own community.
As a parent of a child with an intellectual disability, it has been a unique challenge to incorporate him into activities because his motor skills, body awareness, coordination, and especially his recognition of personal safety, are impaired. Here I share our adaptive journey to bike together as a family.
